Since as far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved creating. The creative process of problem solving and the ability to make it just right have been my passions ever since. I went to many creative classes and majored in graphic design in high school. I continued to learn and graduate with a ‘New Media Design’ associates' degree in college. During my studies I developed many skills. I learned to love the process and see how much more could be developed when working through and expanding the original idea into a cohesive solution. I found that critique is a healthy part of the process and I even learned to welcome it. I’ve discovered that I have a lot to offer and am excited about that which I still have to learn. I fell in love with the problem-solving process. I’ve always found immense pleasure in helping others and enjoy doing so in a creative medium. Before knowing about the field, I always noticed and was frustrated by bad design and disappointing user experiences. UXUI really caught my attention because it seemed to be the perfect blend of design, tech, problem solving and psychology.
I initially learned UI and fell in love with the world of interface design. When I started learning UX I was delighted by how much I enjoyed the research aspect. This allowed me to get to know the users' perspective and therefore how best to create a solution that truly catered to them and their needs. I would love to be working in a field where I can creatively utilize my passion for research and design.
I’m interested in productivity, organization, self-help, animation, games and sustainability. I am also excited to learn about new fields as well.
